Why David and Tyler Love Living in Crestline
Earlier this year, David and Taylor, along with their newborn baby John David, decided to move from Mount Vestavia to Crestline. However, David is no stranger to Crestline, in fact, he grew up in the neighborhood near the O’Neill Library.
“I grew up in Crestline and I really want my kids to have the same upbringing I did. We are all happy to be back in Crestline – the walkability is unbeatable and the community The connection is very strong. While some things have changed over the years, Crestline still feels the same as it did when I was a kid – that’s why I really love living here.”

Although both David and Taylor loved living in Vestavia Hills, they decided to move to Crestline when the opportunity presented itself at the right time.
“I’ve always loved the family-friendly vibe here at Crestline. David introduced me to the neighborhood when we were in college and we would always walk to the village or have dinner with his parents, so This area has always been very attractive to me.”

Why Crestline Appeals to Young Families
1. Crestline is great for walking
With many neighborhoods in the Birmingham area in or around Red Hill, a leisurely walk can easily turn into a strenuous hike, especially during the sweltering Alabama summer months.
“We love Mount Vestavia, but we do live in a very hilly neighborhood, so when we had John David, we wanted to move to something more walkable. Plus, we saw a lot of other families There are also children of the same age.”

In addition to not being as hilly as many other neighborhoods, most of Crestline’s residences are within a short walk of the shopping village.
“One of the biggest attractions of living in Crestline is how close everything is. Even growing up, one of my favorite parts of living in Crestline was walking to the village after school. We would all go to the gas station to buy Grab an Icee and explore the village with friends. I think being able to walk to different places nearby is one of the biggest draws of living in Crestline.”

Crestline hosts countless family-friendly community events throughout the year and is open to all. From parades to marathons, concert series to movie nights and everything in between, there’s always a way to get involved in the Crestline community.
“As a kid we would go to all the summer movie nights and fun events we could. The O’Neill library always had a homecoming on the putting green, and although the Brook Hills parade went through all the villages, I think Crestline Church Street is the best street to see the parade in. Halloween is definitely best experienced in Crestline – as it is very walkable, everyone There are tricks or scams on Dexter Avenue. ”
